Neurodrawing
Many people are frustrated about their lack of drawing skills. Interestingly, when asked to draw from observation or reference, many beginners mostly stay focused on their paper, rather than attentively looking at their models.
According to Betty Edwards, this is given by the fact untrained people do not actually draw from observation. Rather, they draw from their linguistic knowledge of such models. So, since they know cubes have "sharp corners", they draw them with a very nice pointy angle, completely out of a correct perspective.
Drawing upon Edwards' seminal work, I offer Neurodrawing courses for beginners. Through these courses, I will explore a series of methods to remove linguistic barriers to drawing and offer participants a fresh start in their learning journey.
